Beat Update

OCTOBER 2011

MORE CYCLE THIEVES ARRESTED ON UNIVERSITY PARK

During the last month Police have made a number of arrests of individuals for thefts of pedal cycles from the University of Nottingham.

* On 6th October a 28 year old male was arrested on campus for going equipped to steal, having been found in possession of some bolt croppers.
He was later arrested and charged with the theft of three pedal cycles from the University during September.

* On 18th October a 38 year old male was arrested and subsequently charged with the theft of one bike and the attempt theft of another bike, both from campus.
This male is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court later in the month.

* On 28th September a 20 year old male was arrested for handling stolen goods in relation to a bike that he sold that had previously been stolen from the University.
This male is currently on police bail and is due to return on 18th November 2011.

*On 20th October a 16 year old male was charged with the theft of a pedal cycle from the campus on 31/08/2011. This male is due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on 1st November 2011.
