Hi, over the last couple of days in Wellow and North Muskham, residents have received phone calls regarding giving information out over the phone about local tradesman in their area and if they wish to advertise the reputable ones in a local magazine. As soon as the resident declined the line was cut. The caller stated he was representing a "Police Community Group", which I doubt. Please never give personal details out over the phone to ANYONE.

The second incident occured on the 16/02 when someone portaying to be from Talk Talk was door knocking in North Muskham touting for business. When asked for I.D. he did not have any. We have had this situation in Southwell many times where these people have no I.D. but are geniune after speaking to their employer. If someone knocks on your door with no I.D. never accept what they are selling. It is their employers responsibility to issue them with I.D. Not rocket science I know, but you would be surprised how many companies do not follow simple guide lines.
